Thanks to the RJM-01-08 bearing, the slide mount is both stable and allows to mount the specimen without much resistance. Any vibration during mounting could damage the subject. SLW-1040 slides allow precise positioning of the slides and the dry operation prevents dirt from collecting on the slides and getting my hands dirty etc. while working with the stage and transporting it. I can also keep the table in the closet where clothes hang 🙂 And convincing my wife that nothing would get dirty was not easy…. Solutions: I used two drylin® SLW-1040 linear slides from which I made a cross table for precise positioning of the photographed object, and a RJM-01-08 bearing which is used to mount the object on the table.
