Problem:
Use of low-cost robotics in the “bin-picking” context
Implementation with igus® robolink D, camera technology, and lightweight gripper(3D printing)
Task:
Removal of the forced ventilation frame from the small load carrier (KLT), including removal and disposal of intermediate cardboard layers.
Provision of the forced ventilation frame for a six-axis robot for installing parts directly in the vehicle in line operation.

Solution:

Implementation of “bin-picking” with igus robolink D in the pilot system at the Emden installation technology plant with the objective of achieving series production.
Status (as of CW 11 2020) : Technology installation in line operation at Hall 2 of the Emden installation plant in the third quarter of 2020
