Application description of the installation
Cartesian 4-axis robotic automation to enslave two calenders for different machining operations. Calendered parts form orthopedic components.
Problem definition
Realization of cyclic and continuous movements, reduction of noise and lubrication, minimization of maintenance.
How were processes optimized/costs saved/increased efficiency with automation?
Yes, everything. It eliminates alienating work of the operator to have it done by the realized machine and free up manpower for more complex executions.
