The application is ventilation equipment testing device. Room gantry DLE-RG-0012-AC-1500-1000-600 with igus Robot Control unit was used for acoustic and flow probes such as ½ inch preamplifier microphones, thermoanemometers or Prandtl probes positioning.
Electronic components, such as iRC, are outside the acoustic room.

Operator presence in the acoustic room during tests caused measurement distortions and extended process time.

After using the gantry robot, the probe movement can be done remotely and the operator doesn’t need to be inside the acoustic room. Programming via PC with igus robot control software is easy and doesn’t require specialist programming skills. The process is now faster by 50% and much more repeatable.
