This project is meant for any facility that has automation or needs troubleshooting to mitigate downtime and expenses.
The problem is, when systems have issues it is costly when manufacturing is halted. The long time it takes to get ahold of technical support or service adds to that downtime cost. Once the troubleshooting phase has begun there is a determination if service techs need to travel to the site. This system eliminated the need for long lead time as well as expensive travel.
In a world where remote work is an essential requirement for many employees and employers giving flexibility and increased quality of life, we have developed a system utilizing Igus robot technology. The system is meant to help manufacturers with downtime and the associated expenses. Leveraging the low cost and simplicity of an Igus Rebel along with vision technology. We are deploying these 'crash carts' for existing robot customers (all brands) as well as new customers. The crash carts are meant to be deployed on site when a system encounters issues. The beauty of the crash cart is that it can be deployed immediately without any need to wait for service techs to travel onsite. This minimizes the high costs of downtime as well as travel expenses. Given the level of service plan, a customer can have support either during normal working hours, or at a higher level 24 hours a day.
