Marking on concrete pipes Mark a length of 1000 mm when the product is stationary. The product, concrete pipes with diameters ranging from 400 to 1600 mm, must be marked to include the various variables, manufacturing date codes, NF logo, factory logo, strength classes, as well as tightness and tolerance test results. Marking must be carried out at the end of the line when the system is stopped.

How do you efficiently mark products of various diameters (400 mm to 1600 mm) on the same production line at the end of the line, while ensuring system stability and optimum approach of the marking head? This involves marking 1000 mm when the system is at a standstill, including various variables and codes such as the date of manufacture, NF logo, factory logo, resistance classes, as well as the results of tightness and tolerance tests. To guarantee marking quality, it is essential that the system is stable and that the marking head is positioned as close as possible to the product.

Together with the Igus team and Mr Langlois, we selected Igus guides and motors for the X and Z axis movements. Given the large offset and considerable weight, we opted for two guides with a shaft (please see attachments). Thanks to this marking system, the customer no longer needs to manually check products for tightness and precision tolerances. Previously, this customer did not have a marking system. This system enables the customer to trace its products, identify defective products, and compare production from different days. It also optimizes costs and operator time.
